Curatorial RemarksNCW 1406 is the composition drawing for the image. The Brandywine River Museum holds a proof that from evidence of adhesive spots on the reverse probably was mounted like NCWS.95.6554 or NCWS.95.6562, bearing a stamp by Niagara Litho. Co. The museum's N. C. Wyeth collection also includes a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.164) of the composition drawing that was used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel.
