Curatorial RemarksNCW 2149 is a head study of Platt, who was a trustee of the Episcopal Church School Foundation. The date of the piece derives from NCW 2151, a head study dated on the sheet 1937; the contract for the mural was signed in June 1936, so the piece may have been executed earlier, in 1936.
