Curatorial RemarksThis scene is probably one of the earliest views of the Rocky Hill property Wyeth purchased in March 1911. Joyce Hill Stoner examined the work in January, 2007 and feels that paint ridges in several areas of the surface present evidence for an under image. The painting was titled by Jamie Wyeth.
