Curatorial RemarksThis subject was not part of Wyeth's original illustrative program (see NCW to A. R. McIntyre, Little, Brown & Co., March 23, 1936, Kenneth Roberts Papers, Dartmouth College Library, Hanover, NH), constructed before Wyeth saw Roberts's outline. The subject does appear in a revised list of illustrations Wyeth sent to Roberts in Oct. 1937 (see NCW to Kenneth Roberts, Oct. 4, 1937, Kenneth Roberts Papers, Dartmouth College Library).
