Curatorial RemarksAndrew Wyeth noted that the setting of this painting is the farm east of Chadds Ford which the Wyeths rented between April 1908 and March 1911; he believed that Carolyn Bockius Wyeth was pregnant with her daughter Carolyn at the time, which would make the date of the painting 1909.
