Curatorial RemarksThe first owner of the painting, Franklin L. Fisher, was Chief of the Illustrations Division at National Geographic Magazine in the mid- to late 1920s. He no doubt made Wyeth's acquaintance when Wyeth worked on the murals for the National Geographic Society's Hubbard Hall.
