Curatorial RemarksAccording to correspondence at the Brandywine River Museum, this painting was originally inscribed to a Needham, MA resident, information which along with the date suggests that the work may have been done in Needham after the Wyeth family arrived there in the fall of 1921. Pentimenti of two bottles, one to the left of the current bottle and one to the right directly over the bowl, indicate early composition changes.
