Curatorial RemarksThere seems to be no archival authority for the title. The painting is probably number 66 in Carolyn Wyeth's early 1970s inventory of paintings in Wyeth's studio, as "Brook with rail fence, Chadds Ford" although the height dimension differs slightly (Brandywine River Museum library).
