Curatorial RemarksThe painting is listed as a Winchester Rifle advertisement in the 1957 Knoedler's catalogue, however, the Cody Firearms Museum Research project (Herbert Houze and Jennifer Houze, 1996-97) did not find any evidence of its reproduction. The Ketterlinus Litho Company made printing plates for many of Wyeth's paintings.
