Curatorial RemarksThis painting attests to Wyeth's continued fascination with the reflection of light off different materials; the reflection of the Palladian-style window in the artist's studio is visible in the bottle. The bowl in the picture is undoubtedly drawn from one of a set of similar bowls found in the kitchen of the N. C. Wyeth house (Brandywine River Museum, NCWS.95.4721).
