Curatorial RemarksThe date and purpose of this drawing are unclear. The picture recalls Wyeth's depiction of Revere for "Poems of American Patriotism" (NCW 299), but the difference in perspective would suggest it was a discarded attempt. More likely, the drawing was for another commission that has yet to be identified.
