Curatorial RemarksThe Brandywine River Museum holds a proof of this image, formerly in the artist's studio, printed on tissue and inscribed below in pencil: (illegible) Chadwick Sc. The engraver's hand (a thin cross hatching) is discernable in all the light areas, notably on the chicken, the window panes, the door, and the door jamb.
