Curatorial RemarksA composition drawing for this image (NCW 1534) is privately owned. The Brandywine River Museum holds an archival photograph of the painting annotated on the reverse in the artist's hand "IV Bunker Hill"; and a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.145) used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel.
