Summary:
Sketches Abroad with Pen and Pencil (H. G. Houghton and Co., 1868) was republished in 1890, after Darley's death, with the title, Pen and Pencil Sketches in Europe (Estes and Lauriat, 1890). The two editions are the same, except for illustration #84 in the first edition, "A Canal in Venice," which was not included in the body of the second edition because it was used for the cover and was published in color. One of the sketchbooks is in the museum collection.
